Blog Post Hat Trick

• Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this will be the third consecutive post concerning Our Man in the Field Corey Dowds. But listen: if you had interrupted your whole day to take me to Staples to get a new ink cartridge for my stupid printer, then I'd be writing about you. But the way it turned out, I'm writing about Corey.

• Anyway, yes. On a recent trip to New York City, which you may have heard about, Corey took some time to skate the KCDC mini-ramp. He provided the above photodocumentation of this event, and asked if I might put it up here. (I'm not sure who, exactly, took the picture. It's good, though. Nice work.) KCDC: those dudes are good dudes.

UPDATE!

• So. Yeah. Pilot Skateboards team rider Corey Dowds is famous. Check out his interview with Good Morning America, talking about his run-in with the Charleston, SC police like it ain't nothin'. (Come on, homie, we major.) It's probably the sickest product placement ever.

• Thanks to The Skateboardmag, the staff of which is more diligent than we are about covering the Corey Dowds media blitz.

• Yo did y'all see Pilot Skateboards' own Corey Dowds in the news? Well. There he was. Victim of the old (all too common) police brutality. You can check it out at The Skateboard Mag, or see the footage at the local news site.

When asked whether or not he was going to sue the city so that he might become rich and pay my rent till forever, Corey - the heart and soul of diplomacy - responded as such:

"Nah, I don't want to sue 'em, man. I might. But I really would like to get a concrete park in this city."

Unbelievable

• Today marks the ten year anniversary of the passing of the greatest rapper of all time. R.I.P. B.I.G.

• Mixtape DJ Mick Boogie put out a free mixtape featuring vocals from a bunch of new jacks to commemorate. I am, however, having a tough time actually getting it. It looks good.

• Speaking of mixtapes, I think I'm going to spend the rest of my day making one for this girl I met. (Because I am, after all, pretty lame) It's going to be hard to top my last one,
though.

• My all-time favorite radio show (this is a sound-oriented blog post, I'm realizing) has a TV show coming out. I think it's coming on Showtime. I need to get Showtime.

New Digs

• Look at Pilot team rider Corey Dowds up there, looking like a weird, grown-ass mountain man. He recently took a trip stumbling through the desert, and returned home indoctrinating all of us in newfound universal truths about life, the universe, and the historical significance of gold. Or something.

• He also told me to conduct a little research concerning an "interesting fellow" named William James Sidis. So now I'm telling you to do that, too.

• So. Yeah. We figured that we'd put up a new web thing. Because we were getting tired of the old one and that tired-ness was making us lazy. So this is what we're doing until we figure something else out. New, improved updates soon.
